In 1998, founder James Hartford walked away from a senior role at a national GC firm with a conviction: that the construction industry could — and should — hold itself to a higher standard. With $200,000 in startup capital and a team of 12 trusted professionals, BuildCore was born.
Our first project was a $4.2M commercial tenant improvement in Midtown Atlanta. We finished 11 days ahead of schedule. Word spread. By 2003, we had completed 42 projects and earned our first ENR recognition. By 2010, we had offices in five states.
Today, with $2B+ in delivered construction value, a team of 250+ licensed professionals, and an unblemished bonding record, BuildCore stands as one of the most respected names in commercial and civil construction in North America.
